Butter & Olive Oil Dipping Sauce is a delicious and versatile accompaniment for bread, vegetables, and even meats.
Ingredients
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp fresh herbs (such as rosemary, thyme, or parsley), finely chopped
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for a bit of heat)
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp lemon juice (optional, for a citrusy touch)
Directions
Melt the Butter: In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat.
Add Olive Oil: Once the butter is melted, add the extra-virgin olive oil to the saucepan and stir to combine.
Sauté Garlic: Add the minced garlic to the butter and olive oil mixture. Sauté over low heat until the garlic becomes fragrant and slightly golden, but be careful not to burn it.
Add Herbs and Spices: Stir in the fresh herbs, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Continue to cook for another 1-2 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Add Lemon Juice (Optional): If using, add the lemon juice and stir to combine.
Serve Warm: Pour the warm dipping sauce into a small serving bowl.
