This simple meat rub adds a delicious blend of sweet, smoky, and slightly spicy flavors to your dishes, enhancing the natural taste of the meat.
Ingredients
6 green onions, minced
2 tsp minced Scotch Bonnet pepper
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup fresh lime juice
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp thyme
1 tsp chili powder
dash salt
dash pepper
Directions
Mix all ingredients together and press the wet rub into the meat you are going to cook. Allow the meat to rest before cooking.
Note: The Scotch Bonnet Pepper is a staple of any good Jerk rub or marinade. Most larger grocery stores carry them. If you don't have any laying around, use your favorite hot pepper or even some crushed red pepper.
