Ginger Almond Wing Sauce

Ginger Almond Wing Sauce offers a unique and flavorful twist for chicken wings, combining the warmth of ginger with the nuttiness of almonds.  

Serve the ginger almond wings hot, garnished with some chopped fresh cilantro or green onions for an extra touch of freshness. sprinkle with almonds and sesame seeds.

Ingredients

1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated or finely minced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup almond butter

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tbsp honey or brown sugar

2 tbsp lime juice

1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

1/4 cup water or chicken broth (adjust for desired consistency)

Directions

Prepare the Aromatics: In a small bowl, combine the grated ginger and minced garlic.

Mix the Base: In a separate bowl, combine the almond butter, soy sauce, honey (or brown sugar), and lime juice. Mix until smooth.

Combine Everything: Add the ginger, garlic, and red pepper flakes (if using) to the almond butter mixture. Stir until well combined.

Adjust Consistency: Gradually add water or chicken broth to thin the sauce to your desired consistency. Mix well.

Cook the Sauce: In a saucepan over medium heat, cook the mixture for about 5-10 minutes, stirring continuously until the sauce thickens and the flavors meld together.

Coat the Wings: Toss the cooked chicken wings in the warm sauce until they are well coated.
