Puff Pastry Spinach Feta Pocket's

Ingredients 

1 sheet of puff pastry (Blätterteig)

200 grams of frozen spinach, thawed and drained

150 grams of feta cheese, crumbled

1 clove of garlic, minced

1 egg, beaten (for brushing)

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: a pinch of nutmeg

Directions

Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the filling: In a bowl, mix the thawed and drained spinach with crumbled feta cheese, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg if desired.

Roll out the puff pastry: Lay the puff pastry sheet flat on a lightly floured surface.

Spread the filling: Evenly spread the spinach and feta mixture over the puff pastry.

Roll and slice: Roll the pastry tightly into a log. Slice the log into 1-inch thick pieces.

Bake: Place the slices on the prepared baking sheet, brush with beaten egg, and bake for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
