German Meatloaf - Hackbraten

Hackbraten, or German meatloaf, is a traditional dish deeply rooted in German cuisine. This hearty meal typically combines ground pork and beef, mixed with a blend of spices and often a savory glaze. It’s known for being moist, flavorful, and versatile, making it a popular choice for family dinners and gatherings
Ingredients
450 grams ground beef
665 grams ground pork
50 grams onions
1 large egg
1 tsp salt
1 tsp smoked paprika
2 tsp Dijon style mustard
2 tbsp parsley
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
20 grams epic BBQ pork rinds,
1/2 tbsp siracha seasoning
FILLING
3 eggs
3 slices Pecanwood bacon
GRAVY
1 cup beef broth
2 tbsp tomato paste
Directions
Preheat oven to 375.
Mix together, the meat, pork rinds, eggs and water. Season the mixture with salt, paprika, mustard, and parsley.
Blend ingredients thoroughly and shape into a loaf. fill the loaf with 3 eggs and 3 slices bacon.
Place the loaf in a baking pan and bake in a preheated oven for about 45 minutes.
While meat is baking, gradually pour hot beef broth over the top of the meatloaf and basting occasionally. check to make sure its cooked.
