German Coconut Macaroons, or Kokosmakronen, are delightful coconut cookies that are especially popular during the Christmas season
Ingredients
3 egg whites
100 gram sugar
100 gram cocos raspel
Directions
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 120°C (around 250°F), top and bottom heat.
Beat Egg Whites: Place the egg whites and sugar in a bowl, and beat until stiff peaks form.
Fold in Coconut: Gently fold in 100 grams of shredded coconut.
Portion and Shape: Using a spoon, distribute the mixture onto wafer bases (oblaten) and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, or until the macaroons are lightly golden.
Cool: Allow them to cool for about an hour before enjoying.
