Korean Bulgogi

Ingredients
1 lb thinly sliced beef, sirloin or ribeye
1/2 cup soy sauce
1 tbsp sambal Olek
2 tbsp monk brown sugar
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 inch piece ginger, minced
2 tbsp sesame oil
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 large onion, chopped
2 green onions, chopped
1 tbsp sesame seeds
1 carrot, julienned
1/2 cup shitake mushrooms, sliced
Directions
In a mix. bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sambal oelek, garlic, ginger, sesame oil and black pepper. Stir until sugar is dissolved.
Add the beef and marinade, make sure it's fully coated. Marinade for at least 30 minutes. Better flavor overnight.
Heat a skillet and add the marinated beef and cook until browned.
Add the sliced onion, and the optional vegetables, and cook until softened.
Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
